Suddenly
an assortment of individual designs and "faces", swirling and
gyrating in a dizzying spectacle were projecting themselves outward from
the fence. I was struck with amazement as this sort of thing had never before,
and has not since, happened to me but for those few seconds, it did. I ran
inside, grabbed my "good" Nikon and started shooting the "faces"
and a few of the other images that had presented themselves. A few days
later after developing the film and having a few images enlarged, I took
one in particular in for matting and framing at a local craft and framing
shop. I had been impressed by the glorious rustic colors, the texture that
leaped from the photo and the shading. As the framer presented it to me
he told me that he was particularly taken by the "heart" in the
picture. I said, "what heart?" On
closer examination there was indeed a heart shape engrained in the wood.
I was immediately filled with emotion because of the circumstances of the
entire experience. I have appropriately entitled that picture "Love
Revealed" and it has brought about a new beginning and direction in
my own life.
